International Green Week 15.01.2021-24.01.2021

The world's biggest fair for food, agriculture and horticulture

2020: 1.888 exhibitors form 72 countries on 128.000 m2

400.000 visitors(90.000 trade visitors) , who spent 52 mio. EUR

With a heavy heart, we have to inform you that the International Green Week 2021 will not take place as our familiar and eventful trade fair.

Instead, we are planning to hold an industry meeting in January 2021 without public audience.

It was not an easy decision to make. However, the imposed hygiene measures would affect the exhibition experience way too much.

The latest press release can be found here.

Therefore we are already keen to shape the International Green Week 2022 (21-30 January).

Take care and stay healthy!

Kind regards,

Your IGW Team

Established in 1926, International Green Week (IGW) is taking place for the 86. time in 2021. The IGW is a one-of-a-kind international exhibition for the food, agricultural and horticultural industries. At the same time, the IGW is the point of origin for the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) with more than 80 departmental ministers. Producers from all over the world come to IGW to test market food and luxury items and reinforce their brand image. Following consumer trends, regional sourcing plays an increasingly important role. Renewable resources, organic agricultural and products, Fair Trade, rural development and gardening continue to gain importance at International Green Week.

The IGW also features commercial and non-commercial agricultural, forestry, and landscaping exhibits. Changing annual themes typically include such topics as renewable resources or scientific livestock breeding and production. These trade show elements are of particular interest to those involved in the developing markets of central and eastern Europe.

The IGW was covered by trade and popular media journalists (3.100 from 75 countries) from 19,000 newspaper and trade journal reports in Germany as well as in 700 telecasts.

In terms of agricultural policy, the importance of the exhibition is clearly demonstrated by the presence of 200 foreign ministers and state secretaries in addition to prime ministers, ministers and state secretaries from Germany.
